I agree with previous one.

Only "expand its audience" as said here:
"SearchEngineLowdown's Andy Beal sees the IAC purchase paying dividends for their various web properties, as well as the Ask name brand: "I think the merger with IAC will allow Ask Jeeves to expand its audience reach..."

But the rest "...and also provide them with a vast resource that will allow them to better compete with Google and Yahoo." isn't true.
